CES combines three key factors into a single, two-dimensional scale:
The scale can represent any range of experience, based on common career development scenarios. Non-standard cases may require individual evaluation.
Employees can describe their skills flexibly, but the interpretation of results remains clear. You get precise information on experience, knowledge, and years of practice with each technology.
Percentage values are commonly used, making them natural and quick to adopt for competency evaluations.
Using percentage-based values, you can calculate averages for job candidates, analyze specific geographical markets, or track changes in skills within your organization.
Remember, the system simplifies reality and won't perfectly describe every situation—but it is accurate in approximately 88-90% of cases. The trade-off in creating CES between simplicity and individual differences is intentional and ensures ease of use and universality.
